
In this class you will learn how to knit a complete sock using double pointed needles (DPNS) in three Saturday lessons.
In lesson 1 you will learn to do a long tail cast on, how to join in the round and then proceed with a ribbed cuff. You will then continue to knit the leg of the sock. In lesson 2 you will learn to knit the heel and instep and then continue knitting the foot of the sock. In lesson 3 you will finish the sock with the Kitchener stitch.
There will be homework to get you in position to start the next lesson.
Prerequisites: must be able to knit and purl
Experience with knitting in the round is an asset but is not required
Materials: 3 mm double pointed needles or size needed to fit your sock yarn, sock yarn, tapestry needle and stitch markers
